City of Los Angeles Deputy Grading Inspection Services

Registered Deputy Grading Inspection Services

Why should you hire a Deputy Grading Inspector from Geo-X?

Although you may not experience the occurrence to compare our Deputy Grading Inspectors with those of other companies, you may be interested to know that our Inspectors are Licensed Engineers and Geologists in the State of California. We believe this gives us an advantage and our Clients the benefit of our experience.

Our Deputy Grading Inspectors

Our inspectors are here to help you. When our Deputy Grading Inspector arrives at your site, they will review your plans, permits, soils/geology reports and approval letters. Our Deputy Inspectors check the physical conditions of the site and discuss the scope of work with the site superintendant to ensure that all work follows the City of Los Angeles Building and Municiple Codes.

Our experienced and educated Deputy Grading Inspectors offer our clients an advantage over our competition. The majority of our clients benefit financially from our presence on their project because we understand the City of Los Angeles' approved grading and construction methods. This reduces the risk associated with improper grading and construction which may result in costly fines and/or time consuming repair work. We work with the construction personnel on your project and try to anticipate mistakes before they happen.

Our Clients
Many of our customers are not aware that their projects require a Deputy Grading Inspector until grading starts and they are caught off guard when the City Inspector asks them where their Deputy Inspector is. It is for this reason that we have prepared this page to outline the situations where a Deputy Grading Inspector is required. If you have any questions please feel free to call and speak to one of our helpful staff.

If you are building within a designated hillside grading area, installing temporary shoring, working in a zero lot line area, or using A, B, C Slot-Cuting methods as specified by the City of Los Angeles, it is likely that your project would require a full itme Deputy Grading Inspector.

You may ask, "Why are Deputy Grading Inspectors needed on my project?"
The answer is simple. Because the City of Los Angeles does not have the manpower to provide every project in the City with an inspector, but still requires continuous inspections to ensure that the work meets their building code requirements.
